The Predator Helios series, featuring both the Predator Helios 18 and Helios 16 gaming laptops, has been upgraded to include up to 14th gen Intel Core i9 processors and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 laptop GPU.
These upgrades enable a maximum combined power (CPU+GPU) of up to 330W. The laptops boast NVIDIA ADA Lovelace architecture that enhances graphics through AI and full ray tracing capabilities of the DLSS 3.5.
The display options are impressive, with the 18-inch and 16-inch models offering WQXGA displays. The top-tier versions come with mini LED panels capable of 250Hz and 1000 units of brightness, while other models support a 240Hz refresh rate and 500 units of brightness. All models are designed to cover 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, ensuring vivid and accurate colors.
Moreover, the Predator Helios 18 and Helios 16 laptops feature customizable RGB keyboards and lighting, including the Predator logos and an Infinity Mirror lighting bar, all controllable via PredatorSense.
Their cooling systems are top-notch, consisting of dual 5th gen AeroBlade fans and liquid metal thermal grease, complemented by vector heat pipes to keep the performance steady. These laptops are also ahead of the curve with Wi-Fi 7 technology and an array of ports for connectivity.
For those seeking a more accessible option, the Predator Helios Neo 16 comes into play with up to 14th gen Intel Core i7 processors and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU. It offers a configurable memory up to 16GB DDR5 5600 MHz (upgradable to 64GB) and up to 1TB PCle Gen 4 SSD for storage.
The cooling technology mirrors that of its higher-end siblings, ensuring efficient heat management. The display features a WQXGA (2560 x 1600) 240Hz IPS panel for crisp and smooth visuals.
Not forgetting desktop enthusiasts, Acer has also announced the new Acer Nitro 50 Gaming Desktop. This compact powerhouse is refreshed with the 14th-gen Intel Core i5-14400F processor and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX4060 GPU within its 18-liter chassis. It comes with 8GB DDR5 RAM and a 512GB M.2 2280 PCIe SSD, with room for future expansions.
