Why Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari’s excuses don’t add up, a worrying admission from George Russell and Zak Brown lets slip the reason for Lando Norris’ rise: F1 CONFIDENTIAL

A finish of 10th for Hamilton is hardly good enough for such a team, the richest and most successful in the sport's history

Lewis Hamilton is the driver with nothing left to prove, though strangely the one with most to prove. He has seven world titles, his position in the pantheon secured very close to the summit of greatness, and nothing that occurs at Ferrari will alter that fundamental assessment. But there is plenty of work to do if his last hurrah isn’t to turn into a damp squib. If he is to demonstrate that age has not rubbed off the crucial edge that set him apart. And there are elements so amateur at Ferrari that it is almost impossible to believe. They seriously underperformed in Melbourne last week. They point to their form in practice as being more representative of their true pace – and they think that’s an excuse rather than

Patriots Hosting WR Stefon Diggs For Visit

Patriots Hosting WR Stefon Diggs For Visit

The New England Patriots are hosting WR Stefon Diggs for a visit on Wednesday, according to Chad Graff. The Patriots will want to have their medical staff assess Diggs’ knee after suffering a season-ending ACL tear last year. Diggs is one of the best available free agents at this point in the offseason and the Patriots have said that they’re interested in bringing in more talent at receiver this offseason.  Diggs, 31, is a former fifth-round pick of the Vikings back in 2015. He was in the final year of his rookie contract when he agreed to a five-year extension worth $72 million with the Vikings in 2018.  The Vikings traded Diggs to the Bills in 2020 for a package of draft picks including a first-round selection.  Diggs was set

Winners & Losers From Day 2 Of Free Agency

Winners & Losers From Day 2 Of Free Agency

It was a quieter day on the news front, with the rush of initial signings slowing down as teams take stock from a busy Monday. We still had plenty of signings and a few trades, and more movement is still to come. Now that we have a moment to breathe, we can take a step back and evaluate teams more holistically. After the first day, it can be tough to label quiet teams as “losers” when they could have easily made a slew of additions today. After the second day, however, we get a better picture of what teams are doing successfully and where they’ve fallen short. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some winners and losers from the second day of free agency: Winner: Vikings QB

Raducanu to start trial with coach Platenik

Emma Raducanu has won just one match since her third-round Australian Open exit in January

Emma Raducanu will begin a trial period with Slovakian coach Vladimir Platenik when she plays her first-round match at Indian Wells on Thursday. The 49-year-old was coaching Lulu Sun when the New Zealand qualifier beat Raducanu in the fourth round of Wimbledon last July. Platenik worked with compatriot Dominika Cibulkova when she reached the semi-finals of the French Open in 2009, and has also coached Russians Daria Kasatkina and Veronika Kudermetova. Loughborough Academy coach Tom Welsh agreed to join Raducanu for Indian Wells, but that was billed as a one-off arrangement. Raducanu, who has been without a permanent coach since Nick Cavaday stood down for health reasons after January’s Australian Open, plays Japan’s Moyuka Uchijima in her opening Indian Wells match. “I don’t want to rush into anything, but I’m

2025 NFL Scouting Combine Winners & Losers

2025 NFL Scouting Combine Winners & Losers

The NFL Combine is wrapping up and it’s a good time to look back at the week that was. Who helped themselves with a strong showing? Who might not have put up the numbers they wanted? A lot of the important stuff at the Combine happens behind closed doors, but what happens on the field makes or breaks prospects every year. One note from me before we dive in. It’s important not to “double count” information from the Combine. What I mean is that if we’re already ranking a prospect as a great athlete and he tests like a great athlete, we shouldn’t automatically raise him in our rankings. We were already ranking him as a great athlete, that was already being considered. What is needle-moving is when a prospect

Jofra Archer a flicker of hope amid England’s gloom

News “To have him back and to have him fit and excited about playing is a real win for English cricket,” Brendon McCullum says There are few positives from what has been, even by England’s recent ODI standards, a disastrous Champions Trophy campaign. But according to Brendon McCullum, there were glimmers amidst the darkness. The one that shone brightest was the performance, as well as the fitness, of fast bowler Jofra Archer. He bowled his allotted quota in each of the first two games, as well as nine of the 29.1 England needed to send down in Karachi. He did so with decent pace, picking up wickets in each game, and was the pick of the English bowlers by a distance despite South Africa’s romp to victory. “He’s been out

NEW YORK – Gervonta “Tank” Davis has observed the exodus of pound-for-pound peers to Saudi Arabia and firmly stood his ground in the U.S. Davis watched as rival and four-division champion Terence Crawford became the first to headline an American card in August. He saw the sport’s most popular fighter, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, shrug off Turki Alalshikh’s boast that a UFC bout he was backing in September would “bury” the Mexican star’s Las Vegas card, only to be in business with him five months later. And he looked on as David Benavidez boarded a flight to attend Saturday’s light heavyweight championship bout in Riyadh. On Saturday night in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, Baltimore’s WBA lightweight titleholder Davis, 30-0 (28 KOs), is content producing the most lucrative live boxing gate in the
