The Madina District Court has remanded in police custody, the 35-year-old businessman arrested in connection with the murder of investigative journalist, Ahmed Hussein Divela Suale. Daniel Koranteng, aka Nana Amakye, has been provisionally charged with murder at the court where committal proceedings are expected to take place. The prosecutors are accusing him of causing the death of the investigative journalist on January 16, 2019, by unlawful harm. Request for bail Counsel for the accused, Kofi Essel, prayed the court to grant his client bail, saying the case lacked substantial proof to justify the charge. The U.S. Supreme Court temporarily delayed a court-mandated deadline requiring the Trump administration to pay nearly $2 billion to contracted aid organizations for work they already completed. Chief Justice John Roberts, in an order Wednesday night, stayed a lower court order that the administration pay out $1.9 billion by midnight. In his order, Roberts asked the aid groups that sued the Trump administration to provide a response by noon Friday after which the court will decide its next steps.
