Authorities in Greece have recovered the bodies of four people from the sea just off the coast of the eastern Aegean island of Rhodes while another 25 people have been found alive on land, the Greek coastguard says. A Hong Kong police senior superintendent has been suspended from duty after being arrested for indecent assault, the Post has learned. The 49-year-old officer was arrested in Yuen Long on Tuesday. He was later released on bail and must report back next month, a police spokesman said on Wednesday, without providing details. The officer had been suspended from duty, the spokesman said. The Hong Kong Island regional crime unit is investigating. The Post learned that the suspect was Ian Chow Ngai-kong from the force’s support wing. He works at the police headquarters in Wan Chai. A man at Nkurenkuru was arrested in connection with the theft of four computers worth N$90 000 and other items from the gender ministry in the Kavango West region on Monday. The 27-year-old man, alongside other suspects, allegedly broke into the office of the Ministry of Gender Equality, Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare, and stole the computers. Kavango West police regional chief inspector Raimberth Muronga said the suspects used an unknown object to break into the office via the windows. “The stolen items include 12 connecting cables, four monitors, four central processing units, three keyboards, three mouses, three USB drives and two fans,” Muronga said.
