A recent ranking has listed some of the most acclaimed restaurants and supermarkets with delivery options within the Nairobi area.

The establishments were recently celebrated during the Uber Eats 2024 Merchant Awards, which recognize outstanding restaurants and supermarkets that have delivered exceptional service on its platform throughout the year.

The event brought together a diverse array of businesses, including small, medium, and large restaurants, as well as non-food merchants such as supermarkets, grocery stores, phar*macies, and liquor retailers.

Nakampe Molewa, General Manager of Uber Eats for Sub-Saharan Africa, emphasised the importance of the awards in honouring the hard work and dedication of merchants.

Now in its third year, the Uber Eats Merchant Awards are determined by consumer votes and operational excellence metrics derived from Uber Eats data.

“We are excited to highlight the exceptional merchants who contribute to the vitality of our platform. Our expansion into grocery and retail reflects our commitment to meeting the diverse needs of consumers. Our merchant partners have been instrumental in this success,” Molewa added.

The awards featured various categories, including Best African Restaurant, Best Burger, and Best Coffee Cafe. Java House was honored as the People’s Choice Online Food Delivery Restaurant of the Year, while Artcaffe Market received the title of People’s Choice Grocery and Retail.
