NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 18 – The government will release an additional Sh2.5 billion next week to pay for debts owed to hospitals and service providers by the defunct National Hospital Insurance Fund, President William Ruto has announced. This is on top of the KSh5 billion the government recently paid out to make the roll-out of the Universal Health Coverage smooth. “We are going to make sure that all our public facilities are funded so that they can rollout Universal Health Coverage,” he said on Sunday during a church service at Soweto Catholic Church in Embakasi East, Nairobi. EMBU, Kenya, Nov 17 – The government will review the Universal Health Coverage to resolve problematic issues pointed out by Kenyans, including Catholic bishops, President William Ruto has said. NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 5 – Universities must uphold the highest standards of academic excellence as they are the engine of Kenya’s human capital development, President William Ruto has said. The President said the institutions should also incorporate ethical and moral development to make education a tool for transformation and not merely a means of acquiring certification.
