A three-day vital Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care (EmONC) training saw healthcare providers in Nakuru County deeply engaged in practical simulations, honing their skills to manage critical obstetric emergencies. The training, a collaborative effort between Dandelion Africa (a non-governmental organisation) and the Nakuru County Department of Health, is focused on equipping frontline workers with the essential knowledge and hands-on experience needed to address life-threatening complications such as postpartum haemorrhage, eclampsia, and neonatal resuscitation. Maintain healthy lifestyle to avert pancreatic cancer, Kericho medic advices

With the world marking the World Cancer Day on 5 February, a medic in Kericho has urged Kericho residents to prioritize healthy lifestyle to prevent pancreatic cancer, a rare form of cancer that is not easy to detect and treat. Pancreatic cancer is a type of cancer that begins as a growth of cells in the pancreas which is an organ found behind the lower part of the stomach. The pancreas work is to make enzymes that digest food as well as insulin that helps manage blood sugar.
