PDP flag Members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Nasarawa State have elected the immediate past secretary of the party, Adamu Bako as chairman. His emergence followed the party’s congress which was held in Lafia, the state capital on Tuesday. Chairman of the PDP National Committee in charge of the party’s congress in the state, Senator Simon Mwadkwon, made the disclosure after the elections which saw the victory of Bako as the state’s party chairman. He praised the fairness of the process and encouraged party members to unite under Bako’s leadership. Senator Mwadkwon further urged unity among the contestants and other members of the party, emphasising that the PDP remains a big family. “We had a very successful and credible congress.
