Luka Modric Set to Join AC Milan After 13-Year Real Madrid Career Ends

Luka Modric will join AC Milan following Real Madrid’s Club World Cup campaign, according to Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri. The 39-year-old Croatia captain announced in May his intention to leave the Spanish giants after 13 years at the Bernabéu.

Allegri confirmed the transfer news, describing Modric as “extraordinary” ahead of the move to Serie A. The veteran midfielder will conclude his Real Madrid tenure after the Club World Cup tournament in the United States, marking the end of one of football’s most decorated careers at the club.

Modric’s Real Madrid legacy includes five Champions League titles, four La Liga championships, and numerous individual accolades during his tenure since 2012. The Ballon d’Or winner has made over 500 appearances for Los Blancos, establishing himself as one of the club’s greatest midfielders.

The Croatian international’s move to Milan represents a significant coup for the Italian giants, who secured the services of one of modern football’s most technically gifted players. Allegri, who has returned to manage Milan, will look to utilize Modric’s experience and playmaking abilities in Serie A.
