Chancellor and Founder of Wisconsin International University College Ghana, Dr Paul Kofi Fynn, has been honoured with the distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 Ghana Business Awards.
At the same event, Wisconsin International University College Ghana was awarded the prestigious title of “Educational Institution of the Year” at the 2024 Ghana Business Awards, held at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra. This esteemed event celebrated notable achievements by leaders and institutions across Ghana’s business, education, and public sectors.
Dr Fynn was described as visionary leader with groundbreaking contributions to education, and enduring impact on economic growth in Ghana and the West African region.
His award underscores his pioneering efforts in establishing Wisconsin International University College Ghana, a premier institution with campuses in Accra and Kumasi that has, over the past two decades, empowered graduates from over 40 African countries.
These alumni have gone on to make significant contributions across various sectors in their home countries, strengthening his legacy as a leader in education.
In addition to his educational contributions, Dr Fynn has played a vital role in Ghana’s economic development. Through his diverse business ventures in farming, real estate, and hospitality, he has generated numerous employment opportunities for Ghana’s youth, showcasing his commitment to the country’s growth.

Among its latest advancements is the commissioning of a cutting-edge Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics Laboratory, as well as the launch of a new School of Nursing Skills Laboratory and Communication Broadcasting Studio. Additionally, the university has expanded its academic offerings with the introduction of new master’s programmes, such as MSc Nursing, MSc Midwifery, and MPhil Midwifery.
