The theme for this year’s Earth Day is “Restore Our Earth” which focuses on natural processes and emerging green technologies that can restore the world’s ecosystems.
Today which marks World Earth Day, is an annual event aimed at celebrating and promoting environmental campaigning and protection.
This year’s celebration is the 51st been celebrated on April 22 each year since it was set up in 197.
This year’s celebration also focuses on the work needed to recover from Covid-19 and repair the damage to the environment from the last few decades.
The aim of Earth Day is to make a positive impact on the planet therefore a lot is to be said about green technologies and natural systems which can be used to combat the climate crisis.
Earth is our only home and an important planet and the only one we have, hence a clean environment is essential for healthy living: The more we don’t care about our environment, the more it will become polluted with contaminants and toxins that have a harmful impact on our health.
So for Earth Day, try committing yourself to adjusting your own habits. Bring your own cloth or reuseable bags to the grocery stores very often. Go online to learn how best you can make your own impact especially around you and your immediate environment, like tree planting, etc.
