The “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” Sitcom Celebrates 30 Years Since its Premier

“The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” the classic 1990s sitcom this week marks the 30 years anniversary of its premiere.

The six seasons sitcom on NBC compared hip-hop culture with Black upper-class ethos that tackled everything from racism to sexism.

With two reunion shots on his Instagram, Will Smith shared a glimpse of the moment. In it, Smith could be seen laughing and smiling with former co-star Janet Hubert.

Smith captioned his post, which included a tribute to his Uncle Phil played by James Avery.

The real Banks family reunion is for the show’s anniversary and is slated for the streamer by Thanksgiving.

And Google’s search site is celebrating the occasion with an interactive Easter Egg.
