Powerball’s massive $60 million tonight draw was won by a Melburnian whose identity remains a mystery.

The numbers for draw number 1327 are 2, 7, 11, 17, 27, 28, 30 and the all-important Powerball number is 11.

Lottery Officials confirmed the sole winner was a “mystery” due to the fact the winning entry was not registered to a player card, but knew they lived in Melbourne. And the Victorian entry was the only division one winning entry in Powerball draw 1327 on 21 October 2021.

The Lott is urging all Victorians who purchased an entry in tonight’s Powerball draw to check their ticket and make contact to claim their ultimate prize.

All that is known so far about where the ticket was sold is that the winning entry came from a Tatts outlet in inner Melbourne.

The win is Victoria’s second-biggest ever lottery prize to be won. In August this year, a North Melbourne dad took home $80 million – the state’s biggest individual lottery win.

And more details are expected to be released on Friday.

The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said “Someone has become an overnight multi-millionaire just as the city’s lockdown ended but possibly doesn’t know it yet.”

“We can’t wait for them to discover this winning news. Just imagine how $60 million might change your life and the lives of your nearest and dearest.

“There are 60 million reasons why all Melbourne players who had an entry in tonight’s draw should check their ticket immediately.

“If you discover you’re holding the division one winning entry, hold on tight to that ticket and phone 131 868 as soon as possible so that we can start the prize claim process.”

This year alone, 12 Powerball division one winners have scored more than $410 million in prize money.

And in addition to the $60 million division one winner, there were more than 2.023 million winners across divisions two to nine in tonight’s Powerball draw who collectively took home more than $34.29 million.

Winners have been concentrated along the Australian eastern seaboard, with seven in NSW, four in Queensland, and one in Victoria.

A study of these division one winning entries shows that half were PowerHit entries – an entry type unique to Powerball that guarantees the all-important Powerball number needed to win division one.

Nine of the 12 multimillion-dollar winning entries were QuickPick entries, where the lottery terminal randomly chose the numbers.
