Wales manager, Ryan Giggs has been arrested and questioned on suspicion of assaulting a woman believed to be his girlfriend after police were called to his home.
Ryan Giggs, 46, after the arrest later was bailed over an alleged row with his “on-off girlfriend” Kate Greville, news outlets reported earlier.
A man, 46, had been arrested on suspicion of section 47 assault and section 39 common assault and bailed pending further inquiries, Manchester Police said.
The Football Association of Wales (FAW) called off a press conference planned for Tuesday where Giggs was supposed to announce his squad for upcoming international games, the USA, and Nations League fixtures with the Republic of Ireland and Finland.
Two police cars were parked outside his house in Worsley, Greater Manchester, on Sunday evening following reports of a disturbance involving 36-year-old PR worker Ms Greville.
Giggs’ representatives said he denies all the assault allegations made against him and is co-operating with the authorities.
Giggs, who has won 64 caps for Wales, had a blossom career playing with Manchester United, winning 13 Premier League titles, two Champions Leagues, four FA Cups and three League Cups.
