NFL Week 2 Thursday Night Football: Washington Football Team Versus New York Giants

Thursday’s Week 2 battle will see the Washington Football Team against the New York Giants. Washington in need of a win, lost its season-opener in Week 1 to the Los Angeles Chargers after a bad performance by its defense. Though Washington is favored by 3.5 points at home, as both teams look to get on track after Week 1 losses.

Both Washington and the Giants were defeated 27-13 by the Denver Broncos while Washington lost 20-16 against the Los Angeles Chargers. And Washington also lost their starting quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick, to a hip injury.

Fitzpatrick will be sidelined for Washington in Week 2 and beyond. And Taylor Heinicke will replace him and will hope to duel better than his opponent Daniel Jones, who has made 40 career turnovers.
