Bonobo is hitting the road for a handful of North American dates, as the producer announced on Wednesday (May 29).
Bonobo is one of those rare birds who can conjur magic with his melodies and curate one hell of a composition. His DJ sets are spellbinding, and he puts that taste-making power to the test with his Outlier brand of events, radio shows and playlist presentations. He blends sounds, styles and tempos to create unforgettable evenings, and now, he’s bringing a fully-fleshed Outlier concept to North America for the first time in the form of five one-off parties featuring some of the most exciting and trusted names in experimental beats and humanistic electronic sound.
The tour kicks off in Montreal in late June with support DJ sets from Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Durante, Prefuse 73 and a special performance from Machinedrum and Jimmy Edgar’s collaboration J-E-T-S.
The tour moves its way through exciting spaces in Chicago, Denver, San Francisco and New York City with more friends in tow, including sets from Tokimonsta, Derrick Carter, Mallgrab, Chrome Sparks and Tourist. In Denver, they’ll take over the Air & Space Museum, while in San Francisco, they will shut down the streets for a homegrown block party.
While specific lineups change from city to city, there is some guest overlap. Of course, Bonobo will preside over each event. You can catch a glimspe of his DJ style by listening to his Fabric Presents Bonobo DJ Mix, released in February.
The Outlier Tour begins in late June and runs through mid-August. Tickets are available for presale now using the code outlier2019.
